Dr Marlene Bothma provides comprehensive obstetric care for women throughout every stage of pregnancy, from preconception counselling and early pregnancy support through to birth and postnatal care.

She understands that every pregnancy is unique. By providing continuity of care and building trusted relationships with her patients, Dr Bothma ensures women receive the guidance, reassurance and medical expertise they need throughout their pregnancy journey.

Her services include preconception counselling, antenatal screening, pregnancy monitoring, and management of medical conditions during pregnancy, alongside support for women experiencing early pregnancy complications. She has particular expertise in high-risk pregnancies, multiple pregnancies, diabetes in pregnancy, hypertension and pre-eclampsia. For women who have experienced recurrent pregnancy loss, she offers dedicated, compassionate investigation and support through future pregnancies. 

Dr Bothma is committed to helping women make informed decisions about their care through evidence-based information and collaborative discussions. She supports a range of birth options including vaginal birth, assisted vaginal birth, vaginal birth after caesarean (VBAC) and gentle caesarean section where appropriate. Following birth she continues to provide postnatal care and support, helping mothers navigate recovery and the transition into parenthood with confidence and reassurance.
